Sgt. Slaughter (rattling title Robert Remus) was an American professional wrestler from Verne Gagne's AWA (American Wrestling Association) in the late 1980s. Career
He was the top competition to Bob Backlund's WWF Championship, and engaged in a classic feud with Pat Patterson in his first WWF stint in the earlier 1980's. He wwhen an NWA United States Champion, also as NWA Globe Tag Team Champion by having Don Kernodle. Sarge had the popularity explosion that coincided using Hogan's in 1984. Along by using Hogan & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Slaughter was one of WWF's most beloved Superstars of the mid-1980s.

Slaughter captured a WWF Championship at a 1991 Royal Rumble, defeating The Ultimate Warrior by nefarious means ("Macho Man" Randy Savage interfered), but lost the belt in a bloody match against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VII. When finishing a Hogan feud, Slaughter became a face again, saying "I want my country back." Sgt. Slaughter was too a share of the G.I. Joe cartoon, as a member of the G.I.
